Crash test ratings

I came across some of the newer crash test data, the ones with the second row dummy in the moderate front overlap and it was really insightful, a lot of popular SUVs got dinged on rear seat safety, but ascent came through with a good rating, and that feels so reassuring. Am I the only one that thinks about this? and I know so many vehicles didn't meet the mark when IIHS updated their test, well think not everyone is as meticulous as I am and I think things like this dont really matter to a lot of people

Ooh. You're definitely not the only one who checks those scores. I do the same, especially with kids riding in the back. The Ascent getting a good rating is a big plus in my book too.

For a long time, back seat safety often took a back seat and this IIHS test is finally holding automakers' feet to the fire. The Ascent's good score shows that Subaru isn't cutting corners on rear passenger protection like some others are.

I haven't done a lot of digging but yeah, getting "Acceptable" and "Good" ratings are laudable but hopefully they continue working on improvements for all rear seat safety!
