Should I get the Ascent?

I have a '19 VW Arteon and it's been amazing and reliable. But with a growing family now, I started eyeing the Ascent. I am looking for something more spacious and road-trip friendly. I test drove a 2022 and loved the drive so thinking about getting it. I guess I'm here to see what are the pros and cons of the Ascent which model from the 2000s would you suggest? Thanks!

Wow, congratulations on the growing family!
I got a 2023 Ascent Touring and the space is fantastic, especially for road trips!
The standard AWD and the Driver Focus system also give me that peace of mind!
For the cons, I think the gas mileage isn't so amazing, especially around town.
If you'll compare it with the 2022, the 2023 had a refresh with a new front and rear design, a new, larger infotainment screen, and some upgrades to the EyeSight safety system.
The 2022 still has the older, smaller screen and physical buttons for some controls, which some people actually prefer.
Either way, I think you're getting a great vehicle for a family!

Downside is that MPG isn't great, and it can feel a bit bulky in tight city spots.
